Welcome to the Magnificent Mundane!
What is The Magnificent Mundane? What is the Matrix? Actually they both ARE related! It is basically an emergence out of a matrix of Christian sub-culture, legalism, hyper control and religious bondage. People stuck in that matrix, as I was for many years, have no idea or clue that they are there, and all have a limited, small view of God and his incredible personal interactions within everyday life. I hope this is a small introduction into a much larger world of freedom & creativity. Welcome to the real world, welcome to The Magnificent Mundane.

The Hubble Deep Field Almost all the points of light here are not individual stars...but galaxies, with each galaxy containing billions of stars! This is the true picture of space, the one that God views, courtesy of the amazing Hubble space telescope, which focuses on one tiny point of space for weeks and reveals the reality of the Cosmos. Many of these galaxies are much different now, or even long gone into oblivion as we are seeing them back in time, as they existed millions to billions of years ago due to the immense distance that light has to travel to arrive here!
There are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand on the earth! Our galaxy alone, the Milky Way, is nearly beyond comprehension to grasp in size and amount of stars, and it is only one of hundreds of billions of galaxies. Why did God make so many?! Many physicists and cosmologists have concluded that we need such a huge universe, with every star being essential for life on earth! "Approximately one hundred-billion-trillion stars we observe in the universe-no more and no less-are needed for life to be possible in the universe. God invested heavily in living creatures. he constructed all these stars and carefully crafted them throughout the age of the universe so that at this brief moment in the history of the cosmos humans could exist and have a pleasant place to live. Physics / Ph.D. Astronomy from The Creator & the Cosmos One more amazing fact to consider is this; Even though every star, every planet, every moon within every galaxy takes up enormous mass in the universe....the total amount is only a small fraction of the actual size of space itself! Most of the actual mass and contents of space is unknown! It is what scientists call "Dark Energy" and "Dark Matter". It is dark because it cannot be detected, however, its presence is revealed by its gravitational effect. Please read my "Dark Energy & the Hand of God" for my take on this mysterious force. We live in an amazing world, both in the micro and the macro, as well as our everyday experience all around us! I am not a scientist, (I just play one on TV...just kidding) but just well read up on the subject. My heroes have never been cowboys, and I don't care for sports much, but Mr. Spock & Data....they are so cool! My hope and goal is to present science and everyday wonders through a beautiful grid of faith and grace which reveals a personal loving God who we can know through Jesus. John Boda |
