Faith Creed Statement

I usually like to see what people believe when I visit their web sites, just to make sure I am not going in the direction of a cult, or real wacko!

If you are checking me out, you're smart! I am impressed with your diligence and integrity to follow Jesus by his grace and truth in balanced harmony, which is also something that I try to do as well.

I believe in the absolute integrity of the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation, that they are the absolute truth from God, without error.

I believe that scripture must be read, studied and interpreted in context of all of scripture.

I believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, that he is the Son of God, equal and one and the same as almighty God who created and sustains the entire universe.

I believe that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again three days later to provide salvation to all who call upon him by faith.

I believe that salvation is obtained by grace through faith in Jesus, and that no human work, effort, or help in any way shape or form is needed except our faith reaching out to God's free gift of grace.

I believe in the soon appearing of Jesus as King of Kings to first call his people home, then to set up his eternal kingdom on a new heaven and new earth.

I believe in the sanctity of all human life, and that abortion is the killing of an unborn living person.

I believe in the fellowship of saints, all true believers in Jesus Christ, and the importance of gathering together weekly, and even more to pray, study and fellowship with one another.

I believe in the Biblical concept of The Trinity - where God is expressed in three persons, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, but there is only one God, and all three are in perfect unity.

On other related, but not as primary issues, here is where I stand at this time:

I believe in what is known as "The Pre-Tribulation Rapture"

I believe in what is called "Predestination of the Saints"

I believe in a personal, loving, and Holy God who created everything Ex-Nihilo - out of nothing - and from the time of Adam and Eve onward, it has been approximately 6000 years.

I believe that it is possible that there has been a long period of time from the moment of creation in Genesis 1:1 to the moment of Adam's creation in Genesis chapter two. While God and his Word are absolute, we know from Einstein that time and space are not, but are relative, and behave in a very counterintuitive manner from our perspective. It is a scientific fact that there are many places in the universe where one 24 hour day on earth equals millions, or billions of years there. Likewise, there are many places in the universe where millions, or billions of years equal one 24 hour day on earth. It is very possible that the "days" of creation in Genesis chapter one, were BOTH 24 hour days, and many millions of years, depending on whose perspective we base the days on - earth time or God's time with the entire cosmos as reference. I am not dogmatic on this issue, and believe that at this time, very few people can be! "In time"....science will shed more light on how God did it, but I am very sure, that God created everything, and to this day continues to sustain everything. (Please read some of my grace notes and/or e-book for more - thanks.)

Finally, I am not a scientist or a theologian! I am a lay-person and a former associate Pastor with extensive study and teaching experience. I have been very fortunate and blessed to have studied under many brilliant theologians! I am a professional singer/guitarist with an intense hobby of furthering my study and insight into the created universe. I have a passion for discovering, And sharing those discoveries) the beautiful harmony of science and faith.

I believe that everyone is accountable to God for three things:

1. Time 2. Talent 3. Treasure

While my treasure department is lacking, I do have some talent and considerable time to offer to others. My talents are music and teaching, with nearly all my original music available at this site, many of it free of charge.

As to the time element, I spend a lot of it in study and constant wonder of God and his creation! While I devour many physics and science books written by sometimes atheistic people, I absorb everything with the eyes and ears of faith. The personal, loving, creator God is the greatest scientist who designed and sustains it all, and God always remains the center and focal point of all my reflections and grace notes on this site.
