Notes, E-Book & Bible Studies

2012 - The Countdown
As we approach
the much dreaded date of December 22nd 2012, many people are
fearful of the end of the world as we know it! I have spent much
time studying just what a lot of it entails, and looked in depth
to the ancient Mayan culture and calendar to try to make sense
of it, and see things through a Biblical view point. While I
don't claim to have all the answers, I do believe I have found
some things which can help clarify, and also bring some much
needed hope and optimism to it as well. (A few major movies are
on the horizon to further fuel the hype!) I hope to continue to
add to this series with many installments. Please view my new
2012 - Countdown video also! JB
IIf
you're interested in the poem text narrated in the video, I
wrote it in an inspired few minutes recently. Here it is to view

TTheology Cafe - Thy
Kingdom Come!
Here are my
complete class notes and outlines for my recent class "Theology
Cafe - Thy Kingdom Come". I had about 20 people committed to
this in depth study every week, and have received very good
feedback! Just a word of caution; I believe that God's Kingdom
on earth will NOT be established by any man, group or even
church! God himself is doing this work and uses a variety of
ways to accomplish his will, and it WILL be done, soon! JB
I am very pleased
to make these Genesis outlines available here! I spent a lot of
time and study preparing them and used these to lead a Monday
night class through the entire 50 chapters of this book. As in
many of my other outlines, these are really more of an overview
commentary on each chapter. I have tried not to cover the verse
by verse method to be more in line with the grand panoramic view
of Biblical Theology. JB
OK, I finally got this old booklet of mine into the digital
domain! It was written in 1999 and has been out of print. I
revised it and included a new forward, the message is as true as
ever, and it is one of my favorite studies - a classic! Please
understand that I try to reveal amazing contrasts/comparisons
between the Titanic and our world in these last days. I am in no
way advocating a lifestyle and view of seeing everything in
black and white! I believe that God is the ultimate creative and
diverse artist! However, as a serious student of Titanic, and
the scriptures, I cannot help but be amazed at the incredible
links and lessons for us.
Pilgrim
Ponderings
I have long been an
avid subscriber to the idea that ALL true believers in Christ
are "pilgrims". It is not just my idea, but it is clearly
revealed in scripture. These ponderings will help clarify that.

This is a large five chapter text
E-book! It is the companion study to the new CD of the same
title. Feel free to print out copies, or sit back and read over
coffee. Of course, the very best way is to play the CD while
reading! This book and CD are the culmination of my life's work
up to this point. I truly hope you are blessed, and challenged
to think with the big picture in view, and outside the box! A
chapter by chapter description and outline is posted under "news
& stuff", if you want more information first
before jumping into it.
This E-book
was edited by Liz Pinckert, who corrected many of my mistakes
and made me sound smarter than I really am! A big thanks to her
for hard work and believing in this project! If there are
any errors or mistakes missed, they are mine. Liz is a Christian
mom now living in Tennessee with her family and has a blog site
for anyone wishing to communicate, especially to discuss this
book. JB

Yes, Magnificent-Mundane is an oxymoron, but that is the
point! Our everyday lives are very mundane, yet also incredibly
magnificent, IF we have spiritual eyes and an eternal
perspective given to us by a personal, loving, God through Jesus
as revealed in the scriptures and nature. (There - that's a
summary of all five chapters - but please still read it!) JB

Great Resources
By Various Authors
Many of you may
be aware of the on- going debate of predestination vs. free
will. I offer no new solutions! I have struggled myself, and
continue to do so, with this dilemma, which seems more complex
than quantum mechanics! If you are wondering which camp I
subscribe to, you may be disappointed as each side has their
scriptures, arguments, and conclusions....which although may be
set with some people...they are far from clearly set in
scripture.
Without
trying to sound too neutral or politically correct, I will say
that I am a Calvinistic Arminian - a Calvinian! I see valid
points in both Calvinism and Arminianism, but also serious
problems - I believe that we are chosen to be free
- that we are predestined for free will! An oxymoron?
Maybe...but I recently stumbled across a very good writing on
the subject which says it like it is, and better than I could
try to do at this time, so I present that now. If you are
interested...please click the link (But if you choose to
resist....never mind)
Predestined for Free Will
Wow! Here is
one more great resource on the debate...and I stumbled to it by
my own free will!
One important
resource that I have used for many years in an old book by E.W.
Bullinger entitled, " Numbers in Scripture". Since the book is
over 75 years old, it is public domain, it is one of the books
now available free on line! You can also download it! It is very
interesting, especially knowing that he wrote it long before
computers! Here is the link for you;

One of my
favorite writers who is always thought provoking to me is
Phillip Yancey. Here is an excellent short read on Job that I
have found very helpful;
