The Magnificent
Mundane E-Book!
By John Boda |
|
|
|
This is a large five chapter text
E-book! It is the companion study to the new CD of the same
title. Feel free to print out copies, or sit back and read over
coffee. Of course, the very best way is to play the CD while
reading! This book and CD are the culmination of my life's work
up to this point. I truly hope you are blessed, and challenged
to think with the big picture in view, and outside the box! A
chapter by chapter description and outline is posted under "news
& stuff", if you want more information first
before jumping into it.
This E-book
was edited by Liz Pinckert, who corrected many of my mistakes
and made me sound smarter than I really am! A big thanks to her
for hard work and believing in this project! If there are
any errors or mistakes missed, they are mine. Liz is a Christian
mom now living in Tennessee with her family and has a blog site
for anyone wishing to communicate, especially to discuss this
book. JB

Yes, Magnificent-Mundane is an oxymoron, but that is the
point! Our everyday lives are very mundane, yet also incredibly
magnificent, IF we have spiritual eyes and an eternal
perspective given to us by a personal, loving, God through Jesus
as revealed in the scriptures and nature. (There - that's a
summary of all five chapters - but please still read it!) JB |

OK, I finally got this old booklet of mine into the digital
domain! It was written in 1999 and has been out of print. I
revised it and included a new forward, the message is as true as
ever, and it is one of my favorite studies - a classic! JB |

Other
Great Resources
By Various Authors |

Many of you may
be aware of the on- going debate of predestination vs. free
will. I offer no new solutions! I have struggled myself, and
continue to do so, with this dilemma, which seems more complex
than quantum mechanics! If you are wondering which camp I
subscribe to, you may be disappointed as each side has their
scriptures, arguments, and conclusions....which although may be
set with some people...they are far from clearly set in
scripture.
Without
trying to sound too neutral or politically correct, I will say
that I am a Calvinistic Arminian - a Calvinian! I see valid
points in both Calvinism and Arminianism, but also serious
problems - I believe that we are chosen to be free
- that we are predestined for free will! An oxymoron?
Maybe...but I recently stumbled across a very good writing on
the subject which says it like it is, and better than I could
try to do at this time, so I present that now. If you are
interested...please click the link (But if you choose to
resist....never mind)
Predestined for Free Will
Wow! Here is
one more great resource on the debate...and I stumbled to it by
my own free will!
For years I have
been convinced that Jesus was crucified on a Wednesday rather
than a Friday, and did my own study and research on it. The main
issue is not to gather facts and boast about it, but rather to
simply support the validity of the Bible! Many people had been
confused because it states that Jesus was in the tomb "three
days and three nights", which is very specific, and any counting
from Friday to Sunday comes up way short! In essence, if any of
our traditions contradict the Bible's claims, then our
traditions must be wrong! Although I have always wanted to write
support for this, I stumbled upon an excellent one already done,
and well, I could not have said it better! Here is the link;
Three Days and Three Nights
One important
resource that I have used for many years in an old book by E.W.
Bullinger entitled, " Numbers in Scripture". Since the book is
over 75 years old, it is public domain, it is one of the books
now available free on line! You can also download it! It is very
interesting, especially knowing that he wrote it long before
computers! Here is the link for you;
Numbers in Scripture
One of my
favorite writers who is always thought provoking to me is
Phillip Yancey. Here is an excellent short read on Job that I
have found very helpful;
